What's in the box

One installer gets you the full editor plus both Roblox Studio companion plugins — installed straight into your Plugins folder from inside the app (File → Install Studio Plugin). No marketplace download, no manual file copying.

• Editor — the visual scripting desktop app, with the node/block/code/split editors, UI builder, and planning board.
• Studio plugins — LuaFlowSync (pulls your project into Studio) and the LuaNode bridge (Studio Scripts, live sync, telemetry, capture). One click installs both.
• Local Studio bridge — a small HTTP listener on your own machine (127.0.0.1) that pipes project + telemetry data between Studio and the editor.

System requirements

• OS: Windows 10/11, macOS 12+, or Linux x86_64 with GTK 3.
• RAM: 2 GB minimum, 4 GB comfortable.
• Disk: ~200 MB.
• Roblox Studio: any recent version (we don't depend on Studio betas).
• HTTP Requests enabled in your place's Game Settings, so the plugin can reach the desktop bridge. One-time toggle.

Privacy & data

We'll be straight about what leaves your machine. Most of Luanode runs locally — your projects, the visual editor, and the Studio bridge on 127.0.0.1:7777 never leave your computer. But some features do use the network, and we won't pretend otherwise:

• Licensing. When you open a licensed build it checks your license with our server, and then re-checks occasionally while running (every few hours), sending your license email and a machine fingerprint so licenses stay valid and aren't shared.
• AI features (optional). If you use the AI assistant or AI planner, your prompts, the relevant code, and the API key you configure are sent to the provider you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local model). Leave it off if you don't want that.
• Waitlist. If you join the waitlist your email is stored on our server to notify you about builds, and deleted on request to Support@luanode.com.

Luanode is free — every feature, all 586 nodes, nothing paywalled. It's kept free by one small self-served sponsor card in the corner of the app (no tracking, no third-party ad networks — the same card for everyone). Luanode needs an internet connection to run.
